Why? Why is DevjaVu here?
There is a reason, a purpose if you will, that DevjaVu exists. We see our role in the complicated world of software development as the integrator and distributor of higher-order developer-fu. The one that takes the collective knowledge of our craft and puts it into a powerful tool that is accessible to everybody.
We don't just want to accelerate your development, we want to accelerate all software development. We're building tools that will bring us together to make better software, whether it's a commercial, open source, or personal project.
Software engineering is unlike any other form of engineering. We're not bound by the constraints of the physical world. We work with idealized components that are as detailed as we want them to be. The only constraint is our imagination, and as far as mediums that can "come to life," software is very unique in that regard.
The problem is that software is complicated. It's hard to make. Some of us are better than others, and while the core of this advantage is knowledge, much of it has been encoded into software tools. Software that helps us write software better.
This is what we're interested in. This is where we want to put our energy. We believe that if we push tools for writing software, we can potentially exponentially affect the output of our collective effort to make software that changes the world. And software does change the world. Just watch. We'll do it.
